The person behind the work.
Kyle Jack Paasche is a Bay Area finish carpenter, woodworker, and creative builder with a lifelong pull toward making things. For him, woodworking is about more than joining boards. It is about taking an idea that exists in someone’s head and turning it into something they can see, touch, use, and live with.
His foundation is finish carpentry, where the details matter. Clean lines, thoughtful proportions, solid construction, and materials chosen with intention. That discipline carries into everything he builds, whether it is a piece of furniture, a built in, a remodeled space, or a completely custom project.
His interests have always extended beyond woodworking. Music, fashion, design, nature, and time spent outdoors all influence the way he sees materials, spaces, and the things that fill them. The result is work that is practical and well built, but still has personality.
Craftsmanship Without Pretension
Good craftsmanship does not have to be complicated for the sake of being complicated. Kyle's approach is straightforward: use the right materials, build accurately, and pay attention to the details that make a finished piece feel right.
Sometimes that means glue and screws. Sometimes it means plugs, careful joinery, or a simple solution that saves time without sacrificing strength or appearance. The goal is always the same: build something solid, clean, and intentional that looks like it belongs exactly where it is.
Where Woodworking Meets Creative Building
Kyle's work also extends into set design and stage fabrication, where ideas often have to move quickly from a drawing into something physical. Working across furniture, remodeling, fabrication, and production has shaped a flexible approach to building and problem solving.
Every project brings its own set of questions: How should it look? How should it function? What materials make sense? How will it actually be built and installed?
That is where Kyle does his best work: taking an idea, figuring out how to make it real, and building it well.
